Surelock® Mechanical Anchors

Surelock® mechanical anchors are flexible high-tensile steel strands of specific lengths, anchored inside a drilled hole with an innovative locking-off unit called the ‘Surelock® swivel barrel’ at the collar. The advantage of using this locking-off device is that once the required prestressed load is achieved, the shear ring shears on the barrel into a positive visual indicator with an audible knock.

Multi-bulb passive anchor

The multi-bulb passive anchor is a flexible, high tensile steel strand of a specific length, anchored inside a drilled hole, with an innovative multi-coloured breathing tube system. The advantages of using this breathing tube system in a vertical crater retreat mining operation is that once a round has been blasted, the remaining coloured breather tube indicates the actual depth of the blast.

Surelock® Spin Anchors

Surelock® spin anchors are flexible high tensile steel strands of specific lengths, resin anchored inside a drilled hole with an innovative locking-off unit called the ‘Surelock® swivel barrel’ at the collar. The advantages of utilising this locking-off device is that once the required prestressed load is achieved, the shear ring shears on the barrel into a positive visual indicator with an audible knock.

Thread Lock spin anchor

Thread Lock™

Thread Lock™ flexible anchors are available as either bulbed, resin anchored or plain, mechanically anchored tendons. They are manufactured from high tensile steel 7-wire strand and incorporate a threaded live end used to pre-tension the anchor. Other accessories such as spherical seats, load indicators and bearing plates are easily incorporated into the system.

These anchors provide the ideal solution where quick installation and immediate support is required. Both types of anchors are available in standard lengths from 1,2m in increments of 0,3m. Non standard lengths are available on request.

Flexibolt Anchor

Flexibolt Anchor

The Fexibolt originated from the need for a flexible anchor system that does not require hydraulic equipment to tension. To satisfy this need, the Flexibolt is tensioned by hand or a rockbolter. Pre tension loads of 2-5 tonne can be achieved. The revolution of this new design was first presented at the 12th International Conference on Ground Control in Mining at Morgantown West Virginia, USA, 1993.
